
1. Environmental advocacy is difficult, frustrating, and only occasionally successful work–yet it is vital.
2. Much of the dificulty comes from a craving for change; individual fear, anger, greed, jealousy, and desire for accomplishment; and the expectation we can control great economic, social, and environmental forces.
3. There is a way to experience ease in every situation, nourishing ourselves as we nourish Mother Earth.
4. Compassion, understanding, and mindfulness give rise to happiness; illuminate our true place in the universe; and reveal the impermenent nature of this present moment reality.
